Oehme Residence Towson, MD completed 1991		Oehme Residence – Towson, MD completed 1991 This garden was originally designed by Wolfgang Oehme in his signature natural style with simple layering of perennials and grasses and some woody plants for color interest and a perimeter buffer. Over the years it has developed into more of a botanical collection of Wolfgang's special plants and new trial plants.
Roland has developed some creative ideas of his own in this garden, most notably the xeriscape mound by the swimming pool; sculptural elements of tree trunks and braches that also provide wildlife habitat; fruit trees and shrubs combined with an ornamental herbaceous underlayer of perennials and grasses; numerous visual and noise buffers on the perimeters using berms, Christmas trees, bamboo, and other evergreens; and an organic vegetable garden.
